8.1.Tipsbeforefiringup
Openadoororwindowclosetothewoodburni ng.Ithereisa‘storm’inthestovecoming
fromthechimney,itisadvisabletoplaceascrewed‐uppieceofnewspaperbetweenthe
upperbaffleplateandthechimney,setthepaperonfireandwaituntilyouheara
‘rumbling’noiseinthechimney.Thismeansthereisdefinitelyadraughtinthechimneyand
avoidsmokeintheroom.
8.2‘Top‐down’Lighting
Openthedooranlockitusingthesmallbracketatthebottomofthedoor.
Startbyplacing1pieceofsplitlog–approx.1kg–atthebottomoftheupper
combustionchamber(UCC)infrontofthedometothesmallfrontglass.
Placeapprox.1.2kgofdryfirewood,splitintokindlingsticksbehindtheloganda
coupleofalcoholbriquettes(firelighter)orsimilar.
Lightthefireandclosetheupperconvectionplateofthestove.
