Premium Efficiency Wood Stoves
Oregon Department of Energy Residential Energy Tax Credit Program
Eligible wood stove models meet the following requirements: tested emissions of 2.5 grams per hour of
smoke for catalytic wood stoves, 4.5 gph for non-catalytic stoves and must be installed with dedicated
outside combustion air intake. See Application Instructions for details. The tax credit is 25% of the
eligible cost up to a maximum of $300. Eligible costs are the stove and outside air ducting, but not
labor, delivery, fans, chimney or flues.
To appear on this list, stoves must be tested using the procedures specified by the Residential Energy
Tax Credit program. For information contact the Oregon Department of Energy at 1-800-221-8035 (503-
